WMIPRVSE is a host process that is related to Windows Management Instrumentation or WMI provider services. It was released to stop the concerns of failure of WMI provider service in Windows 2000 Operating System where failure of a single WMI would cause total failure of all other WMI services. As a result, only a single WMI provider service will be affected with the new WMIPRVSE program. This fixed the previous problem of automatic computer restart process when WMI failure appears in Windows XP and Windows 2003 OS.
